The Climetrix application provides unparalleled

Climetrix users have access to a broad array of
weather data necessary for analyzing and tracking risk, including
proprietary databases of Cleaned and Enhanced historical weather data
and automatic feeds of daily cleaned data for hundreds of weather
stations worldwide.
Analytically Robust
Climetrix users can analyze risk to individual
contracts or portfolios using a combination of historical "burn"
models and more sophisticated Monte Carlo models that simulate thousands of
years of potential future weather activity. Given the significant
natural variability in weather and the related uncertainties inherent in
analyzing weather risk, it is important to understand the sensitivity of
any risk analysis results to the key underlying assumptions. The Climetrix application
gives users the ability to "turn the
dials" on numerous inputs to the models and to quantify risk
from a variety of different perspectives. Climetrix analytical
capabilities also include RMS' proprietary daily simulation model which
provides more accurate risk quantification than the standard modeling
approaches used in the weather market.

Climetrix incorporates an easy-to-use front end that
seamlessly integrates all data, pricing models, and portfolio management
tools. The workflow was designed with the input of experienced weather
derivative traders, and individual users have extensive options to
customize modeling approaches and a variety of system settings.

application returns the results of most individual contract analyses
within seconds, and even complex portfolio analyses typically

Internet-Based
Developed with the latest Java technology, clients
can access the system’s sophisticated functionality via a web browser
from anywhere in the world. As an ASP (Application
Service Provider), RMS takes responsibility for maintenance and ongoing
development of the system, and all database management and analytical
computations are handled by a suite of high-end servers. Climetrix users
do not need to acquire or maintain any dedicated hardware or software.
Highly Secure
Security of client data has been treated as an issue
of utmost priority in the design of the Climetrix application. RMS
operates the Climetrix system out of two
IBM e-business Hosting facilities that
provide
extremely high physical security as well as high speed and reliable
Internet connectivity. The system itself incorporates features such as
multiple firewalls and encryption of data transmissions to maximize
security in all dimensions.
