Only licensed clients with a valid User ID and
password will be able to login to Climetrix. If you are not a licensed
client, and would like information on how to set up a demonstration of
the Climetrix Application, please contact us at
climetrix@rms.com.
If you are a licensed client and are having problems logging on to the
system, please read the instructions shown below:
If this is the first time you are accessing Climetrix
from this computer and you do not have the Java Plug-in installed, it
will be downloaded automatically. This one-time operation downloads a 5
MB file and may take up to 5 minutes if you do not have a fast Internet
connection. The application will start after the Plug-in has
successfully been installed.
If this is your first time accessing Climetrix from this computer and
the Java plug-in does not appear to be downloading automatically, please
follow the instructions below to download the Java plug-in directly from
Sun's web site.
To access Climetrix on
your computer, you will need to be running Java plug-in 1.4.2_05.
To run the Java plug-in you first need to uninstall any previous
versions of the plug-in from your computer. To uninstall old
versions and install the new version (v 1.4.2_05) please perform the
following steps:
-
1. Go to the 'Start' menu on your computer; select
'Settings' and then 'Control Panel'.
2. In the 'Control Panel' menu, double-click on the 'Add/Remove
programs' control panel.
3. If there are multiple versions of the ‘Java 2 Runtime Environment…’
listed in the ‘Add/Remove programs properties’ window, you need to
delete them all. Go to step 6.
4. If the only version listed is 'Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard
Edition v1.4.2_05', you already have the correct version of the
plug-in. STOP HERE. You do not need to install the plug-in.
5. If the only version listed is something OTHER than 'Java 2 Runtime
Environment Standard Edition v1.4.2_05', you need to delete it. Go to
step 6.
6. In the 'Add/Remove Programs' window, highlight the first 'Java 2
Runtime Environment….' on the list and click the 'Add/Remove' button.
7. Click through the uninstall process. If you are asked to remove a
shared file that could be used by other programs, click 'No'.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all Java 2 Runtime Environments have
been uninstalled.
9. Launch your web browser and go to
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_05/index.html
10. Click on the download link in the column titled JRE.
11. On the next page, click through to accept the Sun license
agreement.
12. On the next page, click the 'Windows Installation, Mulit-language'
link.
13. On the 'File Download' window that will appear, choose 'Save'.
14. Choose a location on your hard drive to put the downloaded file
and click 'Save'.
15. Once download is completed, find the downloaded .exe file on your
computer and double-click on it to begin installation.
16. Follow installation process.
Once all previous versions of the Java Plug-in have
been uninstalled and installation of the Java Plug-in v 1.4.2_05 is
complete, you will be able to access Climetrix. To see that the
installation of the plug-in has been completed properly, click on the
'Start' button in the lower left-hand corner of your computer screen.
In the menu that pops up, choose 'Settings' and then 'Control Panel'.
If the Java Plug-in is listed in the Control Panel window, the
installation of the plug-in was successful. If you do NOT see the
plug-in listed in the control panel window, the installation did not
complete correctly. Please try the process again or contact me
using the information shown at the bottom of the page.
Once this Java plug-in
installation process has been completed, you will be able to access
Climetrix on your computer. To do so, follow the procedure detailed
below:
-
Go to
www.climetrix.com.
-
Mouse over the ‘Climetrix Application Login’ text
in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and select 'Client
Login'.
-
A small window should appear that is titled 'Plugin
-…'. This window will remain blank for a few seconds. You will then
see some text scroll through the Plugin window, and within one minute
this window will show a 'Login' button.
-
Click the Login button in the plug-in window.
-
A Climetrix login window will appear. Enter your
username and password and click the 'Log in' button to access
Climetrix
